Task No. 23

I have finally reached the 23rd 'thing' where I have been asked to comment and give feedback about my experience with 23 Things. I will keep this brief and to the point.

I am more of a 'serious' personality than a 'fun' type although I don't mind having fun now and again - otherwise I would go crazy. I will start with the negative stuff. The Things I found least interesting about this exercise was the Blog itself, Flickr, Facebook + MySpace (by the way, I was given an elephant stamp for 'completing' the Facebook / MySpace task when I didn't even touch it), iGoogle, Delicious and Instant Messaging. Having said that, I can totally understand why a lot of people love these. I am just not a "clubby" type person. To quote Woody Allen, "I would not want to be a member of a club that would have me as a member" if that makes any sense.

On the more positive side, I enjoyed playing around (didn't I just say I was not a 'fun' type of person?) with Image Generators, RSS Feeds, Google Maps, Google Book Search, Google Scholar, YouTube and listening and watching Podcasts.

All in all, although I was tearing my hairs (I don't have that many) out a times, it was a very enjoyable and worthwhile exercise.

A New Office for Acquisitions Staff

Hello,

Today I write to you as acquistions staff here at St. Albans Campus Library are getting computer / phone cables and ports installed in the new office. This hopefully will be completed today. Next Monday, the electrician should be here to install power cables and power points. Tuesday September 16th is planned to be the day of the BIG MOVE. On that day the furniture removalists will be here to move our furniture into the new office. We are all looking forward to moving into an "new look" office.
